Yes. We believe that you will really enjoy the new experience, but if you still need to access the legacy version, it will be available for the tax year 2024 filing season.
The updated Taxport experience launched October 22. The initial release includes the core Formview functionality with support for the most used forms in Taxport. Support for remaining forms and managing rejects will be released throughout the fall. Users can stay up to date in the release notes section of the application.
All the features you’re used to in Taxport Formview will still be available in the new experience.
No. All of the security settings assigned to users for Formview will be applied in the new interface as well. No additional security configuration is needed, and users will have the same permissions they do today.
If your organization is connecting to Taxport through single sign on (SSO), a new connection will need to be created to connect to the new Taxport URL taxport.sovos.com. Any existing implementation for logging into Formview should be kept in place.
The details of the SSO changes needed are minimal and limited to the URL. They will likely need to be implemented by a member of your organization’s IT team. Click here for technical documents regarding configuring Taxport SSO.
Users are now able to begin logging into the new interface at taxport.sovos.com. Taxport’s classic Formview interface will continue to be accessible at taxport.convey.com. Users who have permission to launch Taxport Powerview can access it from both options.
Yes, you can choose to prevent users from accessing Taxport until a specific date. Our support team (1099Support@sovos.com) can assist you with the necessary configurations.
